Laser skin tightening with the Alma™ Near Infrared system stimulates collagen production and enhances the fibers in the skin alleviating lax and loose skin for more vibrant tone skin.
How does it work?
The Alma™ Near Infrared (NIR) technology at Viola Laser uses high-power light energy to safely and effective heat the sub-dermal tissue, stimulating the growth of new collagen and tightening laxity while also rejuvenating the skin for a youthful glow. We also combine the Alma™ Near Infrared treatment with Radio Frequency (RF), a skin tightening treatment utilizing radio frequency energy to heat deep tissue.
Skin tightening can be performed to reduce laxity, looseness and wrinkling in the face, neck and body, and is extremely affordable when compared with more invasive surgical options. Because Laser skin tightening repairs the skin from the inside out results are natural and never artificial. There is minimal discomfort or downtime associated with treatment.
Does it hurt?
Skin tightening is never supposed to be painful. There may be some slight discomfort as the sub dermal tissue temperature is heated to promote collagen growth, however it is only minimal and dissipates as the hand piece is moved over the treatment area.
How many treatments will I need?
At Viola, we strive to offer each client with care and treatment tailored to their specific goals and needs. With that said, the amount of treatments is dependent on each client’s unique needs. More pronounced laxity or deeper wrinkles may require more treatments. We suggest having a consultation to build a treatment plan that’s perfect for you.
Are there side effects?
There are no long-term side effects associated with laser skin tightening treatments. Skin may appear slightly red or flushed following a treatment due to the thermal energy of the treatment. Patients are advised to avoid make up immediately following treatment and should use sunscreen to protect the sun.
Is there a risk of being burned?
Laser hair removal requires melanin in the hair shaft in order for the laser energy to penetrate and destroy the hair follicle. This makes treating blonde, grey and white hair ineffective, however, just because you have blonde hair does not mean all your body hair is the same.
